How to Use the Yahoo! App on Android

Today I am going to tell you guys how to use Yahoo Mail on your Android Smartphone, This app is very versatile and allows everyone to link to multiple email accounts and even customize each one with a theme to keep them separate, so let’s start.

How to Install the Yahoo! Mail App for Android

Step Number 1: First, you will need to open the mobile play store.

Step Number 2: If you are in the Play store page you may see a search bar at the top of the screen, type Yahoo!, then find and click on the Yahoo! Mail.

Step Number 3: Here click on the “Install” button.

Note: Installation may take a couple of minutes to install completely on your Smartphone, you can track the progress of the installation with the green circle around the Yahoo! App icon in the upper left corner of the screen.

Step Number 4: Click on the “Open” button, once it is completely installed.

How to Add a Mailbox to Yahoo! Mail App

You will be able to add other email accounts such as Gmail, AOL, Outlook, and another Yahoo account, to add a brand new one:

Step Number 1: First, You will need to open your Yahoo! Mail.

Step Number 2: Click on the “Profile” icon at the top left of your screen.

Step Number 3: Aside from menu will slide over, giving you access to settings, click on the “+ Add Another Mailbox”.

Step Number 4: Here you will be able to choose Gmail, AOL, Outlook, and even Yahoo, then enter your email address and follow the prompts, with Gmail, you will have to sign in on a browser window to complete the process.

Note: Keep in mind you will need to provide permissions to Yahoo! Mail.

Step Number 5: If you are completely done, you will see your Yahoo! Mail account and your new mailbox just below it when you tap the profile icon.

How to Customize Your Yahoo! Mailbox Settings

Step Number 1: First, you will need to click on the “Three Vertical Dots” menu in the bottom row.

Step Number 2: Click on the “Customize”.

Step Number 3: You can drag and replace any of the icons currently showing to filter your views, your choices are starred, Receipts, Unread, People, Travel, and even Subscriptions.

Step Number 4: Here you will need to drag your new choice to the icon you wish to replace until it changes color, then let go.

Step Number 5: Click on the “Done” when you are finished.
